Senate Confirms Justice Kekere-Ekun As New CJN
Justice Kudirat Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun has been confirmed as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) by the Senate following her grilling by the Upper Chamber of the 10th National Assembly.
It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had on Tuesday sent a letter seeking the confirmation of Justice Kekere-Ekun to the Senate and read by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio during plenary.
During the session, Kekere-Ekun, who has served in an acting capacity since August, declared her commitment to ending judicial corruption and affirmed that all pre-election matters would conclude at the Court of Appeal.
