NURTW Has No Reason To Vote Out Adeleke In 2026 – National NURTW
The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) his dissociated itself from the statement credited to one Kazeem Oyewale who claimed to be the Acting Chairman of NURTW in Osun State.
Kazeem Oyewale was reported to have vowed that NURTW will vote out Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke from office in 2026.
A statement personally by the Special Advisers to the National President of NURTW and South West Older Forum Coordinator of the union, Alhaji Moshood Ajao said Kazeem Oyewale has no locus standi to speak on behalf of NURTW in Osun State.
The state said NURTW record showed that Chief Oyewale was a former Oroki Branch Chairman and was at no time appointed or elected state officer of NURTW.
Alhaji Ajao maintained that NURTW is a registered trade union and does not belong to any political party and has no mandate to vote out Governor Adeleke in 2026.
The Special Advisers to the NURTW National President urged members of the union in the state to disregard the statement of Chief Oyewale and continue to peacefully go about their normal duties.
Alhaji Ajao also appealed to Osun State governor to grant the request of the National Administrative Council (NDC) of the union seeking audience with him to strengthen the existing relationship and synergy between the union and Osun State Government.
