NUJ OSBC Chapel Fixes Dates For 2024 Pen Week

The Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, OSBC Chapel has fixed 22nd of September as the commencement of its 2024 annual Pen Week.
This is, as a 5-man Committee was inaugurated at the recent Chapel’s Congress, held at the E-Library of the union, located at Pen Resource Centre, Ile Awiye, Oke Baale, Osogbo, with the mandate of organizing a reasonable Programme for the chapel, which is one of the vibrant chapels in Osun State council of the NUJ.
The 5-man Committee was chaired by Comrade Olawumi Olaniyi, with Comrade Kamilu Raheem as the Secretary. Other members of the committee are Comrades Oluwatoyin Ojeyemi, Oladapo Oyetunji and Abiodun Babadiya.
Addressing the Congress, the Chapel’s chairman, Comrade Lateef Agboola, who urged all members and friends of the chapel to rally round the committee, for it to achieve the targeted goals; explained that the OSBC Pen Week would be ushered in with a church service on Sunday, September 22, with a view to handing over everything to God Almighty, and also use the avenue to pray for a successful outing.
According to Comrade Agboola, other lined up events include Opening Ceremony, with Free Medical Check-up and Health Talk on Monday, September 23rd; while the main event comes up on Thursday, September 26, tagged Ancestors Day, when the past leaders of the union would be celebrated and some selected icons would be given Awards of Excellence, just as the 64th Independence Anniversary Lecture will be delivered on the occasion.
The 2024 Pen Week of the NUJ, OSBC Chapel would be rounded up with a Jumat Service on Friday, September 27, to give glory to God Almighty, for a successful outing.
