Fire Engulfs Christ Embassy Headquarters In Lagos
A fire broke out at the Christ Embassy headquarters in the Oregun area of Lagos on Sunday morning, engulfing the building in flames.
Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene, attempting to control and extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown, although some speculate that an electrical spark may have been responsible.
It is unclear whether anyone was in the church at the time of the fire. Morning service was relocated to Corner Stone, an annex of the church.
The area has been cordoned off by police to maintain law and order, with vehicular and pedestrian movement temporarily halted.
Christ Embassy, led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, is one of Nigeria’s largest churches, founded in 1987 with over 145 branches across five continents
