-Reiterates Commitment To Improve Education Sector

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has reiterated the commitment of his administration to improve the State’s education sector.

The governor made the declaration during the flag off ceremony of the distribution of Instructional materials worth mullions of naira to the public schools in the state.

The Governor noted that education will always be a top priority of his administration, hence the need to distribute Instructional materials after a needs accesment has been carried out across schools in the State.

He said his administration will not relent in rejigging the education system for quality performance, saying that the sector will witness more progress during his administration.

Adeleke noted that improving the State’s education sector remains something his administration is determined to do for the benefit of all.

The governor said that the ongoing screening for the recruitment of teachers into government schools would be completed soon.

The Governor also assured that despite the challenges as a result of increasing food items and others, the State Home Grown School Feeding Programme will continue.

Speaking earlier, the state Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Eluwole, commended Governor Adeleke for the commitment to the development of education system in the state.

He eulogised the Governor for his determination to improve the sector for the benefit of the State, stressing that the ongoing teachers recruitment exercise is marker to the resolve of the Governor to better the education sector.

In a goodwill message, Osun State PTA Chairman, Mr Mosshood Fadare thanked the Governor for the kind gesture, stressing that parents will forever be grateful to the Governor for coming to their aid.

Also speaking, ANCOPPS Chairperson, Mrs Eniola Awoyemi said the Governor has gone a long in making their jobs easier through the provision of Instructional materials for them to teach in the class.
