Hon. Omoaje was alleged of “gross misconduct towards Party leadership at all levels, disruption of peace and harmony within the Party by establishing a parallel structure.

Others are “falsely representation and anti-party activities.”

The statement partly reads, “During the executive meeting of the Babanla Agate ward held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, a unanimous decision was made to expel Hon. ADEKUNLE Rufai Omoaje from the Action Alliance, a registered political party, effective immediately.

The reasons for his expulsion include:Gross misconduct towards the party leadership at all levels; Disrupting the harmony within the party by establishing a parallel leadership structure.

” Engaging in anti-party behavior by falsely presenting himself as the national chairman after being removed by the Court of Appeal.”

The statement also stated that Omoaje has seized to be the National Chairman of AA since January following a Court of Appeal judgement that sacked him.

“It is important to clarify that since January 26, 2024, the Court of Appeal’s judgement, which was subsequently acknowledged by INEC, has led the party to pledge its loyalty to the leadership led by Barrister Kenneth Obidiche Udeze to ensure alignment with the party’s progress.

“Hon. ADEKUNLE Rufai Omoaje, having appealed the ruling to the Supreme Court, is aware that he should wait for the Supreme Court’s decision before claiming the national chairmanship. His actions have only stirred unnecessary chaos and unrest within the Osun State Action Alliance.

“His expulsion is in accordance with Article 11 section 1 paragraph 3 of our party constitution as amended”.

“We urge the community and party members to distance themselves from him and his associates. Thank you.”
