Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference Holds 51st Annual Session in Jos

The 51st Annual Session of the Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference (NBCYC) will kick off on August 20th and run through August 23rd, 2024, at the NDLEA Academy in Jos, Plateau State. The event will bring together thousands of youth from across the country to worship, learn, and fellowship.
The National Leadership of the Nigerian Baptist Convention will be well-represented, with the President/CEO, Revd. Dr. Israel Adelani Akanji emphasizes the importance of youth engagement in the church. “The future of the church lies in the hands of our youth, and we must empower them to take the mantle of leadership.”
Revd. Dr. James Olawuyi, Director of the Youth and Students Ministry Department (YSMD), noted, “This conference is a platform for our youth to discover their purpose and passion for God’s work.”
Revd. Dr. Joshua S. Ibukunoluwa, National Coordinator of NBCYC, added, “We are committed to raising a generation of young people who are sold out to God and committed to His service.”
The National President of NBCYC, Dr. Toba E. Bamidele, encouraged the delegates, saying, “As youth, you have the power to transform your communities and the world at large. Use your talents and gifts to make a positive impact.”
The conference will feature powerful ministrations from renowned guest ministers, including Alhamdu Tukurah, Rev. Dr. Chika-Ossai Ugbah, Rev. Ijasini J. Jantiku, and Pastor Chingtok Ishaku, among others.
The Local Organizing Committee Chairman, Bro. Emmanuel Dang, and Plateau Baptist Conference Youth Conference (PBCYC) President, Mr. Abayomi Adediran, welcomed delegates to Plateau State, saying, “We are glad to host you in the Home of Peace and Tourism. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and serene environment during your stay.”
The conference will be marked by inspiring worship sessions, thought-provoking seminars, and impactful outreach programs, leaving a lasting impact on the delegates.
