Comrade Joseph Sangosanya dies at 67
The Executive Chairman of the Christian Foundation for Social Justice and Equity (CFSJE), Comrade Joseph Sangosanya is dead.
In a statement issued by Mr. Jide Afolabi, Sangosanya died after a brief illness on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was 67 years old.
Sangosanya was a development worker with a wealth of experience in election management, conflict management, human rights, and good governance among others.
He was a former Chairman of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Plateau State and co-chair Labour-Civil Coalition, in Plateau State.
Sangosanya actively participated in the pro-democracy struggle and has been actively engaged in the civic space for over 35 years after he left his appointment at the United Bank for Africa (UBA).
He will be fondly remembered for his passion for a better Nigeria, his service to humanity, and his exemplary leadership.
The burial arrangements shall be announced by the family.
He was survived by his wife and children.
