Improving Education: Osun Govt Trains Teachers
In a bid to ensure that Osun students come tops in external examinations and WAEC in particular, the Adeleke administration is already putting measures in place to ensure the dream is actualised.
To this end, over 600 English Language and English literature teachers from across the State are currently undergoing a special workshop on effective strategies for teaching.
Declaring the workshop open, Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Hon. Teniola Lanlehin stated that the training is the first of it’s kind in the state and strategies to make the subject fun in the classroom will be discussed.
She further admonished the teachers to have open mind to learn new things as they are supposed to learn and relearn as the state is committed to revatilizing the education sector.
Also in his address the Special Adviser to the Governor on School Monitoring, Hon. Akin Ajetunmobi while appreciating the governor for approving such a training said the State is keen towards having quality teachers.
He further advised the teachers to take full advantage of the training exercise and make positive results from the training.
In his own the speech, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Mr. Murtala Jimoh enjoined the teachers to be attentive and show commitment in the process of the training.
He also advised the teachers to ensure that they contribute their own to improving education in the state.
