Yoruba Nation Agitation: NSCDC On Red Alert In Ondo
Divisional officers and tactical teams of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been instructed to be on high alert and repel any incursion by Yoruba Nation agitators.
Oluyemi Ibiloye, the NSCDC State Commander gave the order during the weekly muster parade on Monday, April 15, alerting them to be on the lookout for further miscreants.
This was contained in a statement made available to CityMirrorNews by the Command’s Spokeswoman, Aidamenbor Daniel in Akure the state capital.
Ibiloye stated: “The Intelligence Department, Armed Squad, Counter-Terrorism Unit, Rapid Response Squad and operations are to be on red alert to ensure that the security breach that took place in Oyo State does not happen in Ondo State.”
It would be recalled that the Oyo State House of Assembly, Agodi Secretariat in Ibadan was attacked over the weekend by some Yoruba nation agitators.
The demonstrators who were dressed in an army camouflaged in a widely shared video clip declared that Nigeria had given rise to a so-called “Democratic Republic of the Yoruba.”
