Bauchi Female Journalist Needs N5m Support For Brain Tumour Surgery
A Bauchi State based female journalist, Hafsat Abdulhamid Adebayo, is struggling and battling to raise N5 million to enable her undergo surgery for a brain tumour.
Hafsat, 38, who has been bedridden for the last four years, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), after several efforts at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.
Her elder sister, Aishat Abdulhamid, said Hafsat sickness started four years ago.
“She has really suffered, we have spent all our savings; friends, family and colleagues have really tried.
She had a surgery last year with the intervention of the Bauchi State Government where the tumour was evacuated and was recovering at home.
“We are currently at the JUTH. We were told that she has to undergo another emergency surgery.
As we speak, for more than a week, she cannot eat, talk and walk. The consultant told us that she will have the operation this week. “We’re appealing to well-meaning Nigerians to come to our rescue and assist us, may God bless.”
