Breaking: National Grid Collapses Again

Nigeria has been plunged into blackout again following another collapse of the national grid on Monday.
Messages sent to the customers of Eko Electricity Distribution Company Plc and Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company Plc confirmed the grid collapse.
A messages from BIPORAL Management read: “Dear Residents, we regret to inform you that there is currently a power outage in our area due to a national system collapse that occurred at approximately 2:42 AM this morning.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for any disruption to your daily activities.
“Rest assured, our team is actively coordinating with EKO Disco to expedite the restoration process. We will keep you updated on any developments and aim to restore power as soon as possible.
Another message read: “Dear Prestige Customers
“The current power outage affecting your estate is due to a system collapse affecting the nation’s grid at about 2:41 am. today.
“Efforts are currently being coordinated by the National Control Centre to effect restoration of supply to the grid and all locations affected by the development.”
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) had yet to respond to comment on the grid as at press time.
