Sokoto Residents Rejoice As Military Eliminates Notorious Bandit, Kachallah Buzu

The residents of Sokoto State on Saturday in jubilation following the news of the demise of notorious bandit, Kachallah Buzu, who was gunned down by gallant troops in Zamfara State.

Nigerians took to social media to hail the military’s achievement, hopeful that the elimination of Kachallah Buzu would pave the way for the capture of Bello Turji and other notorious criminals.

The Chairman of the Coalition for Young Traders Group, Alhaji Aliyu Shugaba Maiyadi, led the wave of commendation, praising the military’s efforts in the fight against the scourge of banditry in Sokoto and Zamfara.

In a statement released in Sokoto on Saturday, Alhaji Maiyadi hailed the bravery and swift action of the military, expressing their grateful for the gallant efforts of the nation’s troops who have brought an end to the reign of terror unleashed by Kachallah Halilu Buzu Sububu and his cohorts.

Alhaji Aliyu Maiyadi described the victory as a testament to the unwavering commitment of Nigerian military to protecting the lives and livelihoods of the citizens.

He said, people of Sokoto state has indeed, expressed their gratitude to the Minister of state defense, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, Nigerian Army and all other security agencies over their patriotic commitment to end the security challenges in the region. Assuring their support and prayers for the ongoing assaults against bandits and their hideout.

He believed that, people of Sokoto State and surrounding communities can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that the military is steadfast in its resolve to protect them.

Alhaji Shugaba Maiyadi noted that the victory is a morale booster, and urged the troops to continue their relentless pursuit of those who seek to harm the innocent people.

The successful operation serves as a testament to the effectiveness of the military’s strategy and its commitment to ridding the region of banditry and terrorism.

In a daring operation on Thursday, the military launched a massive assault on the bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara State, resulting in the killing of numerous bandits, including Kachallah Halilu Buzu.

The notorious bandit had, just hours before his death, called for a united front against the military, urging fellow bandits to redirect their attacks.

However, his plans were swiftly foiled by the military’s decisive action.
