Junior Pope; Anambra Police Recover 3 Missing Bodies Involved In Boat Crash
Anambra state Police Command has recovered the bodies of the three dead Actors involved in the recent boat crash that claimed lives of some actors.
Recall that the Command had earlier rescued six Actors and Crew members when the incident occurred and had promised to recover bodies of the three missing persons .
To this end the state Police Commissioner Mr Aderemi Adeoye has warned marine commuters against not complying with safety measures while traveling adding that actions and behaviours that are unwanted could jeopardize safe transportation along the water ways.
According to a release by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Ikenga Tochukeu it stated that;
“Marine Police of Anambra State Command has recovered bodies of the three remaining victims of the unfortunate boat accident involving a movie cast”
“Two of the bodies were recovered yesterday 11th April, 2024 while the last was washed in by the tide this morning”
“All the bodies have been deposited in hospital mortuary in Asaba while the President of the Guild of Actors and Actresses has been notified of the recovery”
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye has urged all water commuters to be safety conscious and avoid behaviour that may jeorpardise their safety and that of others while on transit on water”
“He promised expedited investigation into the sad accident that claimed lives of five actors. He also commended the Command’s Marine Unit and its Commander for dedication to duty” he said
