Court Grants N250m Bail To Suspended UNICAL Professor
The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail for the suspended Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Calabar, Cyril Ndifon.
The bail amount is set at N250 million, and he is allowed to secure the bail on self-recognition with the representation of his counsel, Okon Efut, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Although Ndifon’s bail application was not yet ready for a hearing, Justice Omotosho has granted him a two-week bail to facilitate his undergoing of optical surgery.
The tentative bail period spans from January 10th to January 25th.
Both Ndifon and his legal representative are required to submit their travel documents to the court, while proceedings on the matter are scheduled for January 26th.
