It was an atmosphere full of accolades for the member representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Hon Bamidele Salam as he trained over 400 young graduates on different entrepreneural skills.

Salam had organized a three-day entrepreneurship training which started on Thursday, March 7, 2024, tagged ‘2024 BS-E4 Business and Leadership Bootcamp’, the theme of the programme is our”Accessing Local and Global Opportunities For Growth.”

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to our CityMirrorNews at the sidelines of the training on Friday, extolled the uncommon representation of Salam and his curiosity for advancing the development of his Constituency with quality representation.

While commending him for his people oriented projects, the beneficiaries noted that the lawmaker has refined representation with his track record of achievement.

Isola Ismail Oladosu, a beneficiary from Ede South commended Rep. Salam for his unrelenting assistance to his constituency.

Oladosu who appreciated the lawmaker for counting him and other beneficiaries worthy described the skill acquisition programme as the best way to reduce unemployment and be self-reliant.

“I want to sincerely appreciate our Honourable for his uncommon representation and curiosity for advancing the development of his Constituency with quality representation.”

Echoing a similar views, Olaoye Olatunde Oluwafemi, an indigene of Ejigbo, in Ejigbo local Government area of the state commend the lawmaker for his contributions towards nation building and giving back to the society, saying Honorable Salam has made tremendous effort for providing for the plight of the peoples.

Olufemi who noted that Salam since he became the lawmaker representing their constituency at the green chamber has touched every community in the constituency with good representation.

He therefore, called on other lawmakers to emulate the Federal Lawmaker, Bamidele Salam.

To Jibril Mercy Abosede, Ede South Local Government, Honourable Salam been working toward reducing the rate of unemployment in his Constituency.

She applauded his for practicing politics of development in Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency with his numerous empowerment and infrastructure contributions.

Abosede who enumerated Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal representative’s achievements, said she knows of thousands of secondary school students, women who have benefitted from his empowerment programmes.

“Today , as we are talking as part of the activities this year international women’s day, he organized a special programme for women in the constituency where hundreds of women were expected to be empowered”.

She, however, prayed that Salam attains more political uplifting.

Meanwhile, the lawmaker had during the opening ceremony said the aim of the programme was to empower youths with knowledge on good leadership and entrepreneurship skills and give them a means of livelihood.

The programme, according to him, was designed to teach youths on various entrepreneural skills such as Social Media Marketing; Businesses Communication Skills; Businesses Plan Writing; Accessing Business Financing; Export Management Opportunities among others.

Chairman, House Committee on Public Account further said as lawmakers, one of their constitutional roles to make lawa and facilitate programmes that will have positive impact on the lives of constituents.

The lawmaker noted he facilitated human capital training for the youths of his constituency to expose them to different opportunities within the public and private sectors to grow their businesses.

He further said that the programme will provide opportunity to bridge the gap between various government agencies that have products and services that can leverage on participants.
