Amotekun Beefs Up Security Ahead Of Osun Osogbo Festival
As the ancient city of Osogbo prepares for the annual Osun Osogbo Festival, the Osun Amotekun Corps has announced the deployment of its personnel to protect lives and property during and after the Osun Osogbo Festival.
The deployment is aimed at ensuring a peaceful and hitch free celebration of the festival, which attracts thousands of devotees and tourists all over the world.
Osun Amotekun personnel will be stationed at strategic locations to prevent and respond to any security breaches.
The Osun Amotekun Chairman, Rtd AIG Olawale Abass warned criminals to stay away from Osun, emphasizing the Corps’ commitment to maintaining law and order.
Commander Omoyele Adekunle the Corps Commander according to a statement by the Amotekun Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Idowu, urged festival-goers to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities.
He also assured the public that the Corps is well-equipped and ready to handle any situation that may arise.
“With the deployment of Osun Amotekun personnel, residents and visitors can enjoy the festival with confidence, knowing that their safety and security are guaranteed”, he said.
