30 Feared Dead In Niger Fuel Tanker Explosion
No fewer than 30 people were killed in a tragic fuel tanker explosion that occurred on Sunday morning along the Agaie-Bida road in Niger State.
It was gathered that the tragic incident happened after a tanker collided with a trailer transporting cattle from Wudil, Kano State, to Lagos.
Confirming the incident, Abdullahi Arah, Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) said 30 bodies had been recovered.
This was as he said search and rescue operations are still ongoing, as several bodies remain trapped inside the vehicles.
