NIWA Boss, Oyebamiji Mourns Passage Of Acting General Manager, Jibril Dardau

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Mr Bola Oyebamiji has mourned the passage of the Acting General Manager, Department of Corporate Affairs of the agency, Mr Jibril Dardau,

The NIWA boss described Mr Jibril Dardau as someone with an unyielding commitment to enhancing the vitality and efficiency of the agency who will be greatly missed for his kind heart.

Mr Oyebamiji made this known in a message of condolence made available to newsmen in lokoja, while praying for God to grant the family and the entire Muslim Ummah the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The condolence message reads in part, “on behalf of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), with great pain in my heart but with the utmost submission to the will of the Almighty Allah to condole with the family, friends and entire members of NIWA on the passing of our great Acting General Manager, Department of Corporate Affairs, Mr Jibril Dardau, whose sad passing occurred in the early hours of today, 5th April, 2024.

“The late Dardau’s tenure, as the Acting General Manager of the Corporate Affairs Department of NIWA, was not merely defined by administrative duties or bureaucratic responsibilities, but rather, by an unyielding commitment to enhancing the vitality and efficiency of the agency.

“With every decision made and every initiative undertaken, the late Dardau exemplified the virtues of leadership, foresight, and compassion. Dardau was a strong pillar within NIWA till his last day.

“As humans and believers in the ultimate superiority of the Almighty Allah, we believe the sad event is His will, and who are we to question Him? As an entity, we are one big family. To this end, we sympathise with the entire immediate family of our late friend and colleague, his friends, the Muslim Ummah and the entire people of Kogi state.

“We pray to the Almighty Allah to continue to rest his soul and grant him safe passage into Al-Jannah Firdaus. Amin. May Allah give us the courage and fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss”.
