Breaking: Court Orders Substituted Service On Ganduje In An Alleged Financial Misappropriation

A State High Court 7, sitting at Miller Road, has granted order of a substitute service on the National Chairman of APC, Dr Umar Abdullahi Ganduje in a Billions Naira alleged sales of Government Properties.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Aminu Adamu Aliyu, granted the order after a huge legal arguments between Counsels of both Applicants and the Dependents, Nuraini Jimoh SAN and Barrister Zaharadeen Kofar Mata, who includes Ganduje, his Wife Hafsat Ganduje, Lamash properties and others.

It could be recalled that the State Chief Judge, Justice Dije Abdu Aboki had transferred the case of the alleged corruption case involving the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and seven others.

The case which was before a Kano High Court number 4 sitting at Audu Bako presided by Justice Usman Malam Na’abba was been transferred to Court 7 sitting at Miller Road presided by Justice Amina Adamu.

Ganduje, wife, son and five others were charged on an eight-count charge bordering on alleged bribery, diversion and misappropriation of funds, among others running into billions of naira.

Aside from Ganduje and family members, other parties in the suit are Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd and Lesage General Enterprises.

Kano State Government in the criminal suit filed against the respondents said it has assembled 15 witnesses to testify against them in an eight count charges.

However, ruling on the Substituted Service request by the Prosecution Counsels, Barrister Zaharadeen Kofar Mata, in today’s sitting, the new Presiding Judge, Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu, granted the order that Ganduje, Wife and others should be served on a substituted means through placement on a National Dailies.

The Judge than adjourned the case to 11th July for the Counsels to address the Court of their evidences of fait of appearances and also for hearing in the continuation.
