Tinubu: Yobe Killings A Cowardly Act, Perpetrators Will Face Justice
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his deepest condolences to the government and people of Yobe State following the tragic loss of lives in Mafa, Tarmuwa Local Government Area.
Dozens of people were killed after suspected fighters from the Boko Haram hardline group attacked a village in northeastern Nigeria, setting fire to shops and homes.
The attack took place on Sunday afternoon.
This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale on Wednesday.
President Tinubu extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, condemning the killings as a heinous and cowardly act of terror perpetrated by a degraded group of criminals.
The President offered prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased and wished a swift recovery to those injured.
He assured the people of Yobe State that the perpetrators of this evil act would be brought to justice.
