Birthday: BBC Felicitates with Reverend and Mrs. Fakorede

The Church Council, Deaconate, and entire members of the Bethel Baptist Church, Idimu, Lagos have felicitated with the Pastor of the church, Revd. A.G Fakorede, PhD. on his 65th birthday, and his wife, Mrs. Fakorede on her 60th birthday.

The couple is described as an all-round leader spiritually and physically.

In a statement issued by the media department of the Church, and signed by Mr. Jide Afolabi, the Church thanked God for the life of the couple who has impacted the lives of the members greatly.

The statement reads:

“Today, we celebrate our father in the Lord, Rev. A.G. Fakorede, PhD., and his wife, Mrs. Fakorede on their 65th and 60th birthday celebration respectively.

“In them, the Church has a leader, teacher, mentor, guidance, and counselor.

“Since the assumption of the leadership of the Church which was founded over 30 years ago, the Church has experienced monumental growth spiritually and physically.

“The good work done by the couple will live after them as they have engraved their name in the hearts of the people including non-members of the Church.

“Under their leadership, daughter Churches were established and organized; evangelism has improved, while human capital development among others has remained one of the cardinal points of their leadership.”

The Church wishes the couple greater grace to continue to be faithful to their calling and good health.

Bethel Baptist Church, Idimu, Lagos is one of the Baptist Churches under the Victory Baptist Association of the Lagos West Baptist Conference. The Church is affiliated with the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
