A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun state, Hon. Sunday Akere has urged Nigerians to keep hope alive as he expressed optimism that Nigeria will be better under the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu despite the current economic situation.

Akere, who charged the people of the country to be focused and prayerful said that things must not continue the way it had been as Nigeria needs a courageous leader like President Tinubu to bring the needed change that will move the country to enviable height.

The APC chieftain made this known during the visitation of members of Lions Clubs International Multi­ple District 404, Nigeria, to the State Hospital, Asubiaro Osogbo to welcome first baby of the year to the world, born on Monday at the hospital.

Akere, who is also a member of the international organization enjoined Nigerians to be patient with the President saying that president really meant well for the people of the country.

His words, ” I want to charge Nigerians to be focus, prayerful and have hope in the Government that we have today.

“President Tinubu is a performer and he’ll never say what he’ll not do and before the middle of this year things will be stabilized.”

Akere, a ranked members of the international organization, reinstated the commitment of the Lions Clubs International Multi­ple District 404, Nigeria to comprehensive health care development project in the State.

According to him, the over 100 years old Non Governmental Organization, as part of its social activities presented gifts to the baby of the year at the Osun State Government, Asubiaro, Osogbo.

Akere noted that the Club has intervene in different areas including, provisions of free health support for people with eye deficiencies, diabetes.

He stated: “We are here today to recognize and give gifts to the first baby of the year.

“That is not the only thing we do, if you take a look at the back here you’ll see the project of the lions club in the district here, the SAIF treatment center.
