Just In: SGF Summons NLC, TUC To Emergency Meeting Over Strike

George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SFG) has summoned organised labour to an emergency meeting following the ongoing indefinite nationwide strike.

The President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Comrade Festus Osifo confirmed the meeting to The Nation on Monday.

According to him, labour leaders comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and TUC were heading to the SGF office for the meeting.

“Yes, we are heading there now,” Osifo said.
