Just In: Abducted Akwanga LG Chair Regains Freedom From Captivity After Payment Of N10m Random
The abducted chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, Safiyanu Isah Andaha and his friend, Adamu Umar Tanko a.k.a Custom, have regained freedom.
The victims were released Tuesday night at about 9pm after alleged payment of N10 million ransom.
A source who pleaded anonymity revealed that the victims were released by the abductors and took them behind a filling station along Bayan Dutse road on the outskirt of Andaha town in Akwanga local government Area of the state.
The source said ” They were released around 9pm behind Maigwona filling station at Bayan dutse road and the sum of 10 million naira was paid as ransom” said the source.
The source further said he overheard the chairman telling someone that the kidnappers were Fulani, ‘small small boys’ turning them around bush parts.
CityMirrorNews gathered that the victims were taken to Federal Medical center, Keffi for medical examination minutes after a short rest Adamu Custom’s personal residence in Andaha accompanied by security operatives.
