Adeleke Inaugurates Four Micro Projects In Ile-Ife, Other

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has emphasized the need for residents of the state to maintain peace to enable the state achieve its social and economic development plans.

Adeleke who harped on the importance of peace in community development and advancement stressed that without peace, the work of government may be difficult to achieve.

Adeleke made this known on Monday during the inauguration of a motorised borehole and VIP toilet facility at Molodo community, Ife East local government area of the state.

Represented by the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Prof Ademola Adeleke, the governor said what has been achieved in the community was due to peace.

He said, “Without peace, it may be difficult for government to work.

“We call on residents of the community to continue supporting the government and allowing peace to reign.”

He stressed that the projects belonged to the community and that was why they were allowed to contribute 5 per cent of the project sum.

In her address, the General Manager of Osun State Community and Social Development Agency, O-CSDA Funmi Abokede revealed that the project was sited in the community as a result of their requests.

“They contributed 5 per cent while O-CSDA contributed the remaining 95 per cent.

“The project is aimed to improve healthy living and living standards of people in the community.”

Abokede charged members of the community to make good use of these facilities.

A resident of the area Prince Adefioye Bakare expressed gratitude to the governor for his commitment to development in rural communities.

Bakare, who recounted how they traveled very far before they could have access to drinkable water thanked Governor Adeleke and the CSDA for the projects.

CityMirrorNews reports that the projects were initiated by people of the communities and funded by Osun State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) under “Osun Cares.”.

Among the micro projects inaugurated by the governor were motorised borehole and VIP toilet at Molodo Community, Sabo, Ile Funfun and renovated school hall of the Apostolic Grammar School Modakeke, among others.
