Suspected Kidnappers Kill Farmer In Edo
Kidnappers suspected to be herdsmen have killed a civil servant and farmer identified as Inofomoh Gabriel, in Edo State.
The incident was said to have happened in Jattu community, the Headquarters of Uzairue clan, in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State
It was further gathered that the deceased ,who was also member staff of Auchi polytechnic, went to the farm on Wednesday last week but didn’t return home.
Source in the community, said that when he didn’t come back home, a search team was organized to comb the bush in search of the missing farmer.
He said ,”it was Saturday that his corpse was discovered in the bush with several match cut all over his body.”
According to him, they are suspecting herders who have been kidnapping farmers in their farms in the area and in some case killed some of their victims.
He said the matter has been reported to the Jattu Police Division and a source at the station confirmed the incident but said he was not authorized to speak.
