Osun: LGEA Chairperson, Babaniyi Charges Parents To Take Education Of Their Children Seriously

The Chairperson, Obokun Local Government Education Authority, Hon Oluwatoyin Babaniyi has charged parents on the need to show much interest in the education of their children, especially at the early stages.

This is just as she posited that education remains the only legacy each parent can bequeath their children in life.

Babaniyi, gave the charge during a Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Obokun local Government area of Osun state, held in the local Government Secretariat, in Ibokun.

She, however, counseled the students to remain focused and dedicated to their studies in order to realize their dreams and aspirations in life.

Babaniyi harped on the need for them to take their studies seriously in oder to be a bride highly sort for in the labour market.

According to her, children need to be provided not only with accessible but quality education, especially at a tender age to make them abreast themselves with learning skills at tender age

The Chairperson, LGEA said though, there are a lot of important people in a child’s life, but none more so than their parents.

She added that for any parent to have a better tomorrow, such a parent must take education of their children serious especially, at the tender age.

“There are a lot of important people in a child’s life, but none more so than their parents. Parents are the first and most important educators in a child’s life. They are the ones that lay the foundation for their education.

“Teachers may come and go, but parents are always there. That’s why parents are more important than teachers in a child’s education.

“Therefore, I want to charge parents on the need to show interest in tbe education of their children, especially at the early stages”, she concluded.

Present at the meeting are; The Secretary, Hon. Kolawole Lawrence, Hon.Owoeye Adelani, Hon. Otegbayo Segun, Hon.Adeniran Adewuyi, Hon. Oluyole Adeyemi,Hon.Mercy Ayodele, parents and teachers among others.
