Independence Day: Police Teargas Protesters In Abuja
The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) on Tuesday dispersed #FearlessInOctober protesters who gathered at the Utako Market in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to protest the economic hardship.
CityMirrorNews had earlier reported that Nigerians in Abuja took to the streets on Tuesday morning in a protest tagged #FearlessInOctober, conveying their frustration over the economic hardships under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The protesters converged at the market as early as 7 am on Tuesday, to protest the hardship faced by Nigerians occasioned by government policies and programs.
However, Police officers promptly dispersed the protesters at about 8:54 am with teargas.
