Makinde Renames First Technical University, Ibadan, After Late Ajimobi

Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, on Friday, named the First Technical University, Ibadan, after the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
The institution is now known as Senator Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University.

The governor disclosed this during the 2nd Convocation Ceremony 0f the institution, which held at Tech-U Library Hall.
He said: “Looking at the progress, today is a good day to honour my predecessor, who established this university. So, we have made the decision to rename this university the Senator Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University.”
