Osun NUJ Congratulates Folaranmi, Abimbola,30 Others On Appointments
The State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has congratulated the Director General, Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, Alh. Abdulrasheed Folaranmi and the Director,News and Current Affairs, OSBC Radio, Mrs. Abimbola Babatunde on the elevation to the position of Permanent Secretary in the state civil service by the Osun State Government.
In a release jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the union in the state, Comrades Wasiu Ajadosu and Adeyemi Aboderin made available to the CityMirrorNews in Osogbo described the duo as committed and dedicated civil servants who have paid their dues and deserved the elevation to the pinnacle of their careers as Permanent Secretaries.
The release noted that the appointment will further encourage the duo and others to continue to put in their best to the service of the state government would further enhance their service delivery.
Osun NUJ described both Alh.Rasheed Folaranmi and Mrs.Abimbola Babatunde as tested and trusted civil servants noted that the elevation was long overdue and assured government that they won’t disappoint.
The release further thumb up the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke for the appointment of 32 Permanent Secretaries into the civil service as timely and demonstration of commitment of government to revamp the civil service in the state viewed that the appointment of 32 Permanent Secretaries at a go will boost morale of civil servants, enhance productivity and service delivery, and enable them to put in their best to the service of the state government, believing that there will be opportunity for them to reach the pinnacle of their careers.
While appreciating Governor Ademola Adeleke his drive to reposition the civil service in the state, Osun NUJ reminded government not to forget the need to conduct promotion for those who are due for it and take further look at the salary table of civil servants in the state which is probably the worst in the South West region of the country in order to boost their morale and welfare.
Osun NUJ therefore promised its support to the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke to deliver on promises to the people of the state and uplift standard of living.
