UNIOSUN VC Felicitates Muslims On Id-el-kabir Celebrations

…Admonishes Muslims To Sustain Their Prayers For Peace, Love And National Unity
The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor ‘Ayo Clement Adebooye has sent out his best wishes to Muslims in Nigeria and the world at large in celebration of Id-El-Kabir.
The Vice-Chancellor’s felicitation was contained in a statement issued by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, on Wednesday, 28th June, 2023.
Addressing the Muslim faithfuls, the Vice-Chancellor restated the reason for the yearly celebration and charged Muslims to become personifications of the concept of love being celebrated.
The statement reads in part “The Vice-Chancellor of the Osun State University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, celebrates with Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria and the world at large on this day of festivity.
“The Vice-Chancellor reminds the Muslims and Nigerians in general that the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ismail, in submission of Allah’s command, not only conceptualizes the love of Allah for mankind, but also emphasizes the inherent dividends in obedience.
“The Vice-Chancellor urges Muslims to remember the essence of this celebration amidst the wining and dining, and endeavour to exhibit their love for, and fear of Allah in all they do on daily basis.
“The Vice-Chancellor also entreats Muslims to sustain their prayers for a better Nigeria at all times, as he wishes everyone happy celebrations and holidays.”
