Protest In Osogbo Over Tribunal Judgement

Members and supporters of the peoples democratic in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Friday protested over the final judgement of Election Petition Tribunal that notified the victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the July 16, 2022 governorship election in the state.
The demonstrators marched from Jaleyemi area of Osogbo to the popular Olaiya where they converged to express their displeasure over the tribunal’s verdict.
The protesting PDP members were armed with placards with various inscriptions such as “Osun citizens reject Oyetola”, “Imole has come to stay”, “Tribunal panel are not fair”, “Injustices to Ademola Adeleke among others”.
The protester majority of which are, elderly woman and men caused traffic gridlock on the popular Olaiya bridge.
A supporter who simply identified himself as Mr. Samuel from ward 4 Irepodun Local Government stated that everybody knows that they voted for Governor Ademola Adeleke , but did not really know why the victory was upturned by court.
