Akeredolu’s Close Aide, Aragbaiye, Resigns
The Special Adviser on Union Matters to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Mr. Dare Aragbaiye, has resigned his position following the Governor’s death on Wednesday.
A letter signed by Aragbaiye showed that he resigned his position effective Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
The letter reads, “I write to refer to the subject above and to resign my appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties with effect from today, Wednesday, December 27, 2023.”
According to DailyTrust, Aragbaiye stated that his resignation was due to the death of his principal, to whom he was faithful to until his death.
“My decision to resign was prompted by the untimely death of my Principal, a tearless and honest leader, Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, to whom I remain loyal even in death.
“I sincerely thank his excellency for the opportunity to serve as a member of the State Executive Council in his administration. Initially as a Head of Service, and now as a Special Adviser. Please accept the assurances of my esteemed regards,” he added.
