Be Dedicated To Your Duties, Shun indolence, Oneness and Unity, Ola Oluwa Charges Rural Development Ministry Staffers

The Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Ola-Oluwa has charged the Staffers of the ministry to be more dedicated, loyal and alive to the discharge of their official duties.

Ola-Oluwa made this disclosure while being formally welcomed to his office at the state Ministry of rural development and community affairs.

The former Chairman ,Olorunda local government and one time Chairman of Osun state PDP said he felt elated and appreciative of the warmness of heart and gladness of purpose extended to him by the staff of the Ministry, on artival.

He noted with interest and satisfaction how the Ministry has remained strategically important if meaningful development is to be made in the grassroots as encapsulated in the 5 point integral action plan of Senator Ademola Adelekes administration.

OlaOluwa who described himself as a grass rooter par excellence told the staff and management of the ministry of his readiness to bring his wealth of experience to bear having had close rapport for many years with the people of both urban and rural areas before his recent appointment as a commissioner in charge of rural affairs .

Ola Oluwa popularly known as Asejere, however, used the opportunity to warn any contractor handling any government project for the state government through his ministry to make honesty and sincerity guiding principles just as he further warned that the era of abandoned projects has become a thing of the past under Senator Ademola Adeleke led administration.

The commissioner stated further ” My dear brothers and sisters, the era of business as usual in terms of poor execution and abandonment of projects is over in Osun state Adeleke led administration .

“Honesty and transparency should be the watchwords for any contractor wishing to carry out any project for Osun state government at the grassroots under my purview as Commiissioner ” Concluded Hon.OlaOluwa.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Richard Oyegbami described the Commissioner as a performer who over the years has made his impacts in governance felt when he was a local government chairman and at the state level where he was once a Special Adviser on Special Duties in the administration of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Also speaking, the General Manager, Community and Social Development Agency, Mrs Funmi Abokede recalled with nostalgia how the Commissioner made great contributions to the growth and development of rural areas in the past.

As an agency for the grassroots under the supervision of the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs, Mrs Abokede made known her readiness to work wholeheartedly with the new commissioner just as she expressed strong confidence in his ability to deliver as widely expected by the government and people of Osun state.
