Four Policemen Injured As Osun Speaker’S Convoy Involves In Road Accident
Not fewer than four police officers sustained various degrees of injuries in a road accident involving the convoy of Osun Speaker, Adewale Egbedun on Sunday.
Our correspondent gathered that the Speaker was travelling outside Osogbo, Osun State capital on Sunday morning while his convoy was rushing to meet up.
It was further gathered that the speaker was going to Inisa, Odo-Otin local Government area of the state.
It was learnt that only one of the convoy’s vehicles conveying policemen was involved in the accident.
The incident occured around Dagbolu area of Osogbo.
Confirming the incident, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Olamide Tiamiyu said the affected vehicle had flat tyres suddenly, hence the accident.
He noted that the speaker was not involved in the accident, assuring that he is safe and sound.
Tiamiyu stated that the four policemen who sustained injuries were responding to treatment at Osogbo Central Hospital, Osogbo.
He added that two of the officers had been discharged.
