Kano Anti Graft Commission Arrest Man For Selling 632 Occupancy Permits Worth N2.3Bn
A Man simply identified as Musa Salihu Ahmed accused of selling hundreds of Government Occupancy Permits Worth over N2 Billion is Colling his feats at the Kano Anti Corruption Commission Cells.
The Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Muhyi Rimin Gado, said they arrested Musa Salihu Ahmed, for selling of 632 government’s occupancy permit for residential plots worth N 2.3billion in different parts of the state and while returning from an overseas trip.
The Chairman of the Commission, Mr Muhuyi Magaji told newsmen in Kano on Tuesday that, “our team of Intelligence picked the suspect at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport shortly after he arrived from Saudi Arabia, without knowing we placed him wanted”.
He explained that the suspect, a Chief Executive of Lamash Property, sold the plots at about N2.5 million to individuals in Challawa of Kumbotso Local Government area of the state.
He also explained that the suspect also sold assorted plots of residents at Dawanau in Dawakin Tofa local government area.
“We are currently investigating the suspect, how he was allocated 632 residential plots by the past administration and how it was allegedly sold to different individuals in the state” he said.
He said that as soon as investigation is completed the suspect would be arraigned before a court of law.
