Through My Lens: The Beauty Of Honourable Minister Festus Keyamo’s Reception In Abuja By Adeboye Adebayo

Celebrating the brand new Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo today at the eyebrow A Class Restaurant, Abuja is a get-together of who is who in Politics, Industries especially in the Aviation sector, Civil Service especially in his current and former ministries, former and serving National Assembly members, Party Faithful most especially from Delta state; the home state of the minister, members of the bar association, family members, friends, associates, members of APC, Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council, well-wishers, very important personalities and very many distinguished Nigerians. The beautifully decorated hall was full to the brim with a live band on the ground to entertain the guests.

The uniqueness of the reception party is that it hosted Immediate past Deputy Senate President; Ovie Omo-Agege, Former Delta State Governor Uduaghan, Senator Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Chief Executive of Belama Oil, Tien Jack Rick, the Director General, National Directorate of Employment, Serving House of Representatives members, Royal fathers from Delta State, the APC Delta State Working Committee led by its Chairman of APC, Delta State APC Elders council, APC support groups were well represented led by Hon. Marcelo Anyigor, Engr. Adekunle Badru, Hajia Halima Bababubu, Hon. Temitope of Ekiti, Barrister Habeeb Salawu, a member of the bar and CEO of Hamis Bond Investment, the Executive Director of NEXIM Bank; Mrs Stella Okotete, an Automation Expert and CEO, CiTech Automation & Controls Limited; Engr. Oluleye Oluokun, and many society ladies, it was indeed a pan-Nigerian reception as all tribes and regions of Nigeria are present.

When I looked around at the personalities present there, I concluded that it is good to be good, it is good to be a personality of principle and character. Olorogun Festus Keyamo is a man of impeccable character, he is a man of the people and also a representative of all classes who mingles with all, irrespective of status with a high sense of humanity.

The testimonies of the people in their speeches and actions testified to this but the height of the event was the testimonies of the immediate past senate president, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who in his short speech thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for heeding their calls. He said they had appealed to the president that the ministerial slot of Delta State should be given to a personality who is a politician and that is well grounded in the politics of Delta State, a politician with character, who is humane, who understands the political terrain, structure and situation of the state and that Delta APC, a politician that will use the opportunity to lead APC well and rightly, he thanked the Almighty God and Mr President for granting their prayers and gave them Olorogun Festus Keyamo who fits in into their request.

The quantum number of APC members from far away Delta state who attended in person corroborated the assertion of the Senate President that the Minister is indeed a grassroots politician of Delta State.

Other goodwill messengers extol the virtue of the Honourable Minister, they testified to his selflessness, good character and willingness to assist at any given time, they also attested to his humility despite his status and his ability to mingle and relate with everybody irrespective of age, class or status.

It was all fun as people were trooping in and out of the event till around 11 pm, there were varieties of foods and drinks with excellent service by the servers, if you want your drink hard, we had plenty, if you want it soft, e dey plenty!!! I saw people with plenty of takeaways and Olorogun Festus Keyamo’s branded souvenirs.

The music was solemn and lively, mixed with all languages giving glory to Almighty God and entertaining the guests.

We thank God for His infinite mercy and favour, Mr President for his gesture, and thank Nigerians for their support and best wishes. We pray God in his infinite mercy to grant the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development; Olorogun Festus Keyamo SAN, CON, all the required knowledge, wisdom and understanding to carry out this new but critically important assignment successfully to His glory, for the growth and socio-economic development of Nigeria and for the greater benefits of Nigerians.

It was indeed fun!!! O gbenu tan!!!!!
