The Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria, HuCaPAN, has greeted its members and Muslim Ummah across the globe on the occasion of the Eid-Al-Fitr celebration.

The Association urged Muslims to continue with the virtues of self-discipline, commitment, and trust in Almighty Allah which are hallmarks of Ramadan.

In a statement issued by the President of the Association, Dr. Femi Ogunlowo in Lagos, on Friday, and made available to newsmen, he said that Ramadan is an injunction and it is a blessing to faithfully observe it till the end.

The statement reads in part:

“We felicitate our members and Muslim faithful on the Eid-Al-Fitr celebration. We thank Almighty Allah for the grace to witness this year’s holy month of Ramadan.

“Ramadan is a period we engage in self-discipline, piety, commitment, and trust in the Almighty. These virtues should be carried on even after Ramadan.

“I urge Muslims to use the occasion to seek the face of Allah for our country and our industry in particular. The industry can only grow when the nation grows.

“The economy is in dire strait amid deteriorating security. Our industry is not immune from the effect of these challenges. Therefore, as we plan strategically, we must also pray for a better nation.”

Ogunlowo urged Muslims to remember the poor and the needy in their communities. “One of the virtues of Ramadan is giving; therefore, let us extend the generosity of Allah over our lives to the poor. Let us not fail in fulfilling this injunction.”

He implored members to be security conscious during the celebration stressing that the recent attack in the country calls for caution. He prayed that “Almighty Allah shall accept our supplications and sacrifices as acts of Ibadah.”

The Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria (HuCaPAN) is the umbrella association of registered and licensed recruiters in Nigeria, also referred to as Private Employment Agencies (PEAs).

The aims of the Association, among others, are to develop and promote International Labour Organization (ILO) Standards and ethical practices in the recruitment, deployment, and management of outsourced personnel in Nigeria.
