Oke-Ogun Poly Implements White Paper On Reforms Of Institution

The Governing Council of the Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, has approved several recommendations of the Committee on the Visitation Panel to the institution.
The White Paper which profer far-reaching solutions to many crises that had been responsible for friction existing between the management and various unions in the citadel of learning, could not be implemented until the coming on board of the present Council.
Addressing journalists in premises of the school, Chairman of the Council, Barrister Sarafadeen Onijo, stated that implementation of the White Paper would bring rapid progress and development to the institution.
According to him, the age long friction existing between the management and unions on campus would become things of the past.
In a copy of the White Paper obtained by this reporter, issues like re-orientating the management and Council on their defined roles, creating a template geared at boosting the IGR of the school to make it self-sufficient, fortifying the security arthictecture of the school, were addressed.
Others were the legal battle instituted by the previous management against the Council, and approval given for transfer of the parties involved by the Visitor to the institution to other institutions of the State or where their services may needed.
