Accountant-General Launches New Pay Offices

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation has launched the newly constructed federal pay offices in Enugu, Enugu State and Jos, Plateau State.

This was contained in a statement by the Head, Information, Press and Public Relations, OAGF, Chinyere Ulasi, on Thursday.

The statement read, “The Acting Accountant General of the Federation, Mr Sylva Okolieaboh, stated that the newly constructed Federal Pay Offices, Enugu and Jos were part of the reforms in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation to give infrastructural facelift to the Federal Pay Offices in Nigeria.

“The Ag. AGF who was represented by the Director, Treasury of the Federation, Mr Uzor Maduabuchi and Director, Legal Services, Mr Haruna Isa Alabi in Enugu and Jos respectively stated that the new offices were built to provide conducive atmosphere for the officers of the OAGF, whose task of managing the public treasury has become more sophisticated.

“Okolieaboh, therefore, enjoined all the staff of FPOs Enugu and Jos to perform their duties with a heightened sense of responsibility in order to deliver quality service.”

In his welcome address, the Federal Pay Officer, Enugu, Mr John Ugwu expressed delight that the staff of FPO, Enugu would discharge their duties and responsibilities from a befitting permanent office.

On the other hand, the Federal Pay Officer, Jos, Mrs Halima Shaladas, stated that the new office complex would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the staff of the Federal Pay Office, Jos.
