Oodua Youths Promise Sanwo-Olu 2 Million Votes
Popular pan -Yoruba group Oodua Youth Parliament, (OYP) has promised deliver Lagos state All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu two million votes on Saturday.
The group, which said it commenced deep rooted grassroots campaigns for the incumbent governor over a long period of time, also noted that the 70 percent of the votes promised by them will come from the youth. There are 7,060,195 million registered voters in Lagos State.
The group also hinted that it has called on its members who are Lagosians in the diaspora to come home and fulfill their civic obligation of voting Sanwo-Olu, in order for them to still have a place (Lagos) they can call home.
In a statement,the Speaker of the OYP, Aare Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Oyeniyi, warned that no chance must be spared to oppsition parties to take over Lagos, because such a takeover will spell doom for the growth of Lagos state.
He said Governor Sanwo-Olu has made significant strides in various sectors and his efforts have been acknowledged by many citizens, hence the need to re-elect him for continuity of good governance and development.

Sanwo-Olu has prioritized infrastructure development across the state by commissioning several roads and bridges, such as the Agege Pen Cinema flyover, Oshodi-Abule Egba BRT corridor, and the completion of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. He added that the governor also initiated the “Operation Fix Potholes” project aimed at fixing roads in the state.
On education, he said the Governor has made efforts to improve the standard of education in Lagos State by constructing and renovating several school buildings, providing free education for pupils in primary and secondary schools, and introducing new policies to enhance the quality of education in the state.
On Healthcare, he said ” the Sanwo-Olu administration has prioritized healthcare in Lagos State. He has established a new maternal and child care center, upgraded several primary health care centers, and implemented several programs to improve the quality of healthcare delivery in the state.
” The Governor has launched several initiatives to improve the environment and mitigate the effects of climate change in Lagos State. He has launched the Lagos Blue Box recycling program, installed solar-powered street lights, and initiated the Lagos Urban Forest and Animal Shelter project.
“On Security Sanwo-Olu has made security a priority in Lagos State by increasing the number of police officers and patrol vehicles on the streets, investing in technology to enhance security, and collaborating with neighboring states to tackle crime.”
