Sister To Sister Empowerment Worldwide Organization Inaugurated In Osun
The All Progressives Congress, (APC) national women leader , Dr (Mrs) Mary Idele Alile, on Friday inaugurated committee for Sister To Sister Empowerment Worldwide Organization, in Osun State.
The executives were inaugurated on Friday at the Ileri Oluwa campaign office in Osogbo , Osun State capital.
CityMirrorNews reports that Sister To Sister Empowerment Worldwide is an international non governmental organization based in 9 countries of the world with the vision to empower, encourage, Strengthen and inspire women and the girl child
Speaking at the Inauguration, Alile who was represented by her Personal Assistant, Pastor Mrs Mabel Obeto said that the committee were inaugurated to help other women through Sister to Sister Empowerment Worldwide.
Alile who is the founder and CEO of the group said the executives will help in getting reactions and concerns of other women on the areas they need help in terms of social amenities and financial support for their business.
The Edo born politician explained that the group is a non- governmental organization established in 2016 and dedicated to the care, support and empowerment of women and girl- child in the society.
She added that the organization founded to bring women together from their different local governments and work together as a team whereby widows and girl child will be empowered adding that they are ready to sponsor any project meant for the benefit of women.
She hinted that the programme is not meant for sharing money to people but rather to embark on a project that will benefit all women in the community and also to sponsor girls child education for those that are unable to afford it.
“Today marks the inauguration of Sister-to-Sister worldwide, Osun state chapter- an organization dedicated to the care, support and empowerment of women and girl- child in our society.
“Since the inception of sister-to-sister in 2016, we have been able to have our presence in 9 countries with evidence of positive impact on widows, indigents mothers and child, across the 9 countries, including Nigeria.
“Within the folds of our mission, we have woven a tapestry of compassion, advocacy and progress. We firmly believe that the well-being of women and children is not just a moral imperative, but a fundamental right that must be protected and nurtured.
“Through our extensive range of programs, initiatives and partnerships, we aim to address the pressing challenges faced by women and children, and work towards creating a society where every woman and child can thrive, free from discrimination, violence and inequality.
“As we embark on this transformative journey, we are acutely aware of the immense task at hand. However, with the support and collective efforts of catch one of you present here today, we are confident that, together, we can make a tangible difference. Our commitment to this cause is unwavering, and we invite you all to join us in this noble endeavour, be it through volunteering, advocacy or even a small act of kindness.

In his remarks , the APC chairman in Osun , Sooko Tajudeen Lawal represented by Kola Olabisi commended the women leader for bringing the organization to Osun State and charged the executive to use the opportunity for the development of the state and women around them.
He described women as the pillar of various house chores adding that their participation in politics and governance has aided decision making, saying APC as a party does not neglect them.
Lawal said the party is always happy with any group or organization meant for the progress of the president Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, adding that the party will not hesitate to render any assistant in their capacity towards the development and success of the group.
He commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing women in significant positions within his cabinet.
Also speaking , the State coordinator of the Sister to sister worldwide in Osun, Chief Mrs Lawal Olubunmi Olufunmilayo appreciated the founder , Mrs Alile, Osun APC chairman and other women who came from their various local government to grace the event.
She vowed to discharge her duties diligently for the betterment of the women in Osun and party, promising not to disappoint them.
“It is a day we have been waiting for , I appreciate the women leader for her empowerment program for women in the country.
“She is an understandable women, I pray God to continue to bless and empower her.”
