Organisers of the Osun Facebook Hangout 2023 have disclosed their readiness to use social media platform to promote tourism, industries and business in the state.

Chairperson of the Organising committee, Mutiat Adewale-Oyediran at a press conference held in Osogbo on Wednesday stated that the upcoming event scheduled for December 17th, 2023, at GMT Hotels and Garden in Osogbo, will be a pleasant and memorable experience.

According to the chairperson, the primary objective of the Osun Facebook Hangout 2023 is to leverage the power of social media, particularly Facebook, to promote the state of Osun as a tourist destination, foster community engagement, and encourage economic growth.

She hinted that the individuals and organizations can come together to showcase the beauty, culture, products and opportunities that Osun has to offer thereby promoting economic growth and development.

She stressed that the platform will also give room for resident to express their concerns , suggestions, and aspirations for the development of the state.

Oyediran noted that they will use this year’s Osun Facebook Hangout to create a sense of unity and pride among residents of the state, adding that the event will strengthen the bond within Osun communities.
