Housewife Reportedly Commits Su!cide Over Husband Side Chick In Ondo
A middle aged woman identified as Mrs. Bose Odunayo, has reportedly committed su!cide in Ondo State over her husband’s side chick.
It was gathered that the incident occurred in Igoba area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to the state-owned newspaper, (Hope newspaper) the mother of four reportedly drank h€rbicide after receiving a threat call from one of her husband’s concubines who claimed she got pregnant for him.
It was learnt that drama ensued when the victim’s family suddenly brought her corpse from Akoko for burial at her husband’s residence in Akure, where r!tuals were performed before the corpse was later bur!ed.
A source told the publication that the deceased who drank the substance in her residence around Igoba area of Akure, immediately headed to her home town in Ifira Akoko, to inform her parents that her husband would cause her untimely d£ath as a result of his womanising.
According to a family source, before the deceased gave up the ghost, she said her husband’s concubine accused her of being responsible for the miscarriage she had.
Another source close to the family told the publication that sometime in 2021, the woman had attempted s¥icide by taking the same substance, but for the quick intervention of her husband who rushed her to a private hospital for treatment.
However, luck ran out on her this time as she took the h£rbicide when her husband was not around.
The husband who is a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in Akure said his late wife took the substance and travelled to her parents’ town in Akoko, only for him to hear the news of her demise.
“My wife claimed she was the one taking care of all the bills in the house including payment of the children’s school fees which actually was not true because she was a full-time house wife,” he said.
