2023: Osun Civilian Joint Task Force Congratulates Tinubu

The Civilian Joint Task Force in Osun has felicitated with the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, over the victory in the presidential election that was conducted on Saturday, February 25th.

The group, comprises of Vigilante Group of Nigeria(VGN) Odua People’s Congress(OPC) Harmonized Vigilante Group, Agbekoya , Omo Ode Agbekoya and Hunters Group of Nigeria are working in collaboration with police and other security agencies in the State to curb insecurity.

In a press statement signed by its Commander General, Alhaji Hussein Yahasalam, the group commended Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for displaying what it termed unwavering capacity and requisite doggedness before and during the electioneering campaign.

According to the statement, Tinubu remains the best candidate for the top job, based on his past experience in both public and private sectors and his antecedents as a democrat and dependable leader of note.

The statement also opined that Nigeria needs a civilized and cosmopolitan personalty like Tinubu to set the nation’s economy on the path of prosperity and sustainable growth.

The statement read in part:” On behalf of my team members, we heartily congratulate a leader par excellence and one of the leading political juggernauts in Africa, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his resounding victory at the poll on February 25th.

” While his victory didn’t come as a surprise to us; we, however, salute his doggedness and tenacity in the face of suffocating antagonism from different quarters.

“Having said that, we want him to heat the ground running with his usual proactive trait and developmental drive, for Nigerians to have a sigh of relief from this present quagmire.

“Also, of great importance to us is the issue of security, we, therefore, enjoin him to work with the National Assembly to institutionalize effective community policing system for the purpose of viable local intelligence gathering”.
