Recall that the Supreme Court had dismissed the appeals filed by the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) challenging the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal which on September 6 affirmed Tinubu’s victory.

Reacting to the court verdict, YPF National Coordinator, Alhaji Lateef Olalekan while speaking with newsmen in Ede, Osun State said the justices of the Supreme Court followed due diligence and rule of law in arriving at the final decision which upheld the victory of President Tinubu.

Olalekan however called on all the contestants and their followers to accept the judgement of the apex could in good faith.

YPF Coordinator who recalled how the group started the campaign across the country, even before President Tinubu came out openly to make his presidential ambition known to the public said they have strong believe in the leadership skill of the president.

He opined that the president is determined to make Nigeria habitable for all with a persuasion that people should be patient and continue to pray for president Tinubu’s administration success

“The justices of the Supreme Court followed the rule of law. They were able to set this landmark judgement based on the facts before them and not on emotions.

“There are laws guiding the electoral process in Nigeria, and the justices gave substantial judgement which will stand the test of time.”

“Nigerians voted for the President. They believe in his ability to work things out. Like for us at YPF, due to our believe in his leadership skills, we happened to be the first sociocultural group that would come out and started preaching the gospel of his presidential ambition across the country, even when Asiwaju had never come out openly to make his presidential ambition known in public”.

Olalekan however who commended President Tinubu for the courage, tolerance and steely nerve he displayed all through the legal battles, called on the opposition to accept the President’s olive branch which he extended to them by joining his administration in taking Nigeria to its manifest destiny.
