Yoruba Group Roots For YCW President, Hassan For Ministerial Appointment

The leadership of Omoluabi Coalition Group, has called on President Bola Tinubu on the need to appreciate those who worked for his emergence in the 2023 presidential election.

This was as the group, in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Director General, Tunji Balogun, particularly nominated the Global President of the Yoruba Council Worldwide, YCW, Aare Dotun Hassan for a ministerial appointment by the President.

According to the statement: “The leadership of the Omoluabi Coalition Group is unequivocally concerned to draw the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the need to appreciate all those that worked tirelessly for his emergence as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, precipitating our particular request for the appointment of Aare Oladotun Hassan the Global President, Yoruba Council Worldwide who in all thick and thin of the elections and continuously till date stood firm to fight against all manners of attacks attempted at bringing down President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

“However, to whom much is given much is expected, it is noteworthy that Aare (Barr.) Oladotun Hassan championed and risk all firestorms to face the Afenifere Group led by Pa Ayo Adebanjo on Channels TV to stamp Yoruba Council Worldwide endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential mandate, afterwards he has continued to remain undeterred and unshaken despite the huge challenges faced.”

“Similarly, it is noteworthy that during the quest of the Peter Obi and Chinedu Rhodes Vivor’ led Labour Party bid to overrunning Lagos State through evil scripted machinations of Lagos is ‘A No Man’s Land,’ he mobilized supports for the re-election of Mr.
Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu via live appearances on Arise TV and organized several press conferences both in Lagos and Abuja in full defence of the Yoruba heritage.”

“I am a witness of the North and Southern Parley organized in Abuja by Aare Barr. Oladotun Hassan, most surprisingly is that all this efforts was self funded without any funding from the party or any individual(s).”

“He visited various Yoruba Leaders and Kings to solicit more support at various point in time especially Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi CFR, Ojaja 11, The Ooni of Ife, Oba (Dr) Saheed Ademola Elegushi of Ikate Land, as well as countless groups across ethnic nationalities.”

“Based on this premise, we appeal to all well meaning Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity to support our clarion call and speak up for inclusiveness of Yoruba Council’ Versatile, Competent, Proactive and Reliable nominee – Aare Barr. Oladotun Hassan for ministerial appointment, he deserves it and that best represents our interest in President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Government.”

“He is a brilliant lawyer, Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Epe Branch in Lagos, Secretary General, Nigeria Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders Council, Nationalities, Human right crusader, and an Advocate for equitable justice, rule of law and good governance, he commands huge respect from Nigerian youths for his exemplary leadership qualities.”
