MURIC Bestows ‘The Defender Of The Faithful’ Award On Oluwo Of Iwo, Oba Akanbi
The leading defender of Islamic and Muslims rights, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), is to bestow an award of “The Defender Of The Faithful” on the Natural Paramount Ruler of Iwoland , HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.
The award ceremony is to be held next Sunday 9th July,2020 at Combo Hall LTV 8, Ikeja Lagos by 10:00am.
According to a letter of notification made available to newsmen, the “Defender of the Faithful”award is in recognition of the pivotal role Oluwo has been playing in the propagation of Islam and openly identifying with Muslims in Yorubaland.
According to the letter “Considering the pivotal role you have been playing as an outspoken Muslim Traditional Ruler who openly and boldly identifies with Islam in Yorubaland, the Muslims Rights Concern (MURIC) has found you eminently worthy of the award of “DEFENDER OF THE FAITHFUL”
Oluwo in his reaction to the letter, appreciated the Islamic body for considering him worthy, saying it has presented more challenge to propagate further oneness of Olodumare (Allah).
