The chairman, of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN) Osun State Chapter, and Amir, of the Muslim Society of Nigeria (MSSN B-ZONE), Qaasim Odedeji, has called on the police to immediately arrest and prosecute the Oro worshippers that attacked a Mosque and injured Muslims in Ile-Ife, last Thursday.
The Imam of Idi-Omo Mosque, Ilare, Ile-Ife, Alh AbduLateef Adesiyan, and three others were reportedly injured during the attack by Oro worshippers who were said to have warned against movement between 1 pm and 7 pm.
A statement signed by Odedeji who also doubles as legal adviser, Osun state Muslim Community & Secretary of Joint Muslims Action Forum (JOMAF), Sunday, expressed surprise that security operative in the state has not laid hand on the attackers of Muslims let alone prosecuting them.

He said the Muslims are watching the action of the security agency and all those that are concerned including the state government on the matter.
He warned against any attempt to circumvent the matter, saying that the attack is directed at Muslims and any attempt to deny them their right will not be accepted.
He said, “I learned up till now, no arrest has been made and there are some attempts to sweep the case under the carpet. Let those who know should know that Muslims will not sit by when the right of other Muslims to life, dignity, and freedom of worship is being trampled upon.
